“Toast to the Children” with Top Chef’s Tom Colicchio: charity event of the year.

If you go to one charity even this year, this should be it. But it’s not just for the food obsessed. For 15 years running, Toast to the Children brings together NYC’s best restaurants and more celebrated chefs to raise funds for children’s programs at Bellevue Hospital Center. Programs that help ease the pain, loneliness and fear of a hospitalized child.

Mingle with celebs and celebrity chefs alike as you sample signature dishes from restaurants we all know and love: Barbuto, Blue Smoke, Colicchio & Sons, Frankies, Hearth, Jacques Torres, Kerrygold Cheese, Lincoln Ristorante, Park Avenue, Pearl Oyster BarPerilla, Porterhouse New York, Public and Riverpark (Tom Colicchio’s newest restaurant where the event will take place).

Last year, Toast to the Children raised over $275,000 dollars! This year promises to be even better as guests gather together to honor Gail Simmons of Food & Wine Magazine and Bravo’s Top Chef, David Wiesner, award-winning children’s book author and illustrator, and The Phoenix Foundation.

Ticket prices start at $250 for general admission, with proceeds going to the Bellevue Hospital Center. Doesn’t hurt that this incredible event takes place on my birthday too. So much to celebrate!
